CHURCH MISSON STATEMENT HERE W/ SCRIPTURE 

Dr. Michael A. Hill

Chairman, Board of Trustees 

Michael and his wife Latasha have been members of Pilgrim Valley Missionary Baptist Church for twenty-three years. They have two children, Toras (25) and Myles (17), both of whom were raised and reared at Pilgrim Valley. Michael has served in various church auxiliaries over the past twenty-three years, which include:

​

 

  • Active Sunday School Member, where he continues to grow in the word of God.

  • Deacon, where he assists the pastor in taking care of the physical, logistical and spiritual needs of the church, as a servant leader.

  • Culinary Team, where he works with a team of dedicated members who prepare meals for the congregation as well as helping to provide physical nourishment and spiritual food for the homeless.

  • Brotherhood, where he works with a group of dedicated brothers to address the physical and logistical needs of the church, while continuing to “sharpen their spiritual saw”.

  • Church usher, where he serves as a “first representative” of Jesus Christ for those who come to worship.

  • Finance Committee, where he works with a dedicated team to take care of the financial responsibilities associated with the church.

  • Chairman of the Board of Trustees, where he works with a dedicated team to support the pastor and oversee the administration of the church business.

 

 

For the past ten years, he serves as an assistant superintendent in the Arlington Independent School District. He has served as a high school principal, associate principal, assistant principal, a teacher and a coach in Fort Worth I.S.D, Mansfield I.S.D, and Arlington I.S.D.

 

Michael’s formal education includes a Bachelor’s Degree from Grambling State University, a Master’s Degree and a Superintendent Certification from the University of Texas at Arlington, and a Doctorate Degree from Dallas Baptist University.
